    1. Twisting, interesting plot, likeable people Nicely wound soft subplot of come to Jesus Some violence, no sex or cussing, some romance TTS enabled, standalone, Christian morality, free on several sites for Kindle, I ve reread several times recommended it to online readers.

    4. This book could keep you awake and reading when you wish you could go to sleep. This suspense novel begins with a rather heartless killer arsonist for hire Tarz demonstrating his skill Tarz weaves in and out of the pages with sickening frequency. Then we re introduced to Natalie Clayton of St Louis, Missouri Her husband just died of an unexpected heart attack, and she s sitting at the graveside service with severe flu symptoms, listening to the chaplain drone on and on about a good man, loving hus [...]

    5. Decent book Some of the suspense was very good, especially the first 1 3 of the book Slowed way down after that until the end, then the suspense at the end seemed to go on a bit too long I don t know if that was because of all the inner thoughts or not The Christian fiction wasn t too preachy, which was good I ve read some that you think are a sermon w a slight bit of fiction tossed in Yes, this is coming from a Christian fiction author Didn t take much to figure out who hired the bad guy and th [...]

    6. Really excellent Christian suspense book Some might call it romantic suspense, and there is definitely romance, but it s very clean, and does not take over the story Other relationships take as much precedence as the romance The writing was very good, and there were very minimal, barely noticeable issues with wrong words or grammar near the end I would have given it five stars, but for the fact that the story lagged in the middle, and some story elements just did not make sense to me Spoiler ale [...]

    7. This was a pretty good story with a lot of catastrophes throughout That kept me reading However, the story also seemed to go on a long time before resolution There seemed to be trips down memory lane or travel log items that didn t promote the plot I felt there were a few tiny illogical bits like racing into the basement of a burning house but what choice did they have , that Hilde would whack out like that and show up herself, that the bad guy would not pick a better moment to kill Natalie Sam [...]

    8. I think I downloaded this when it was free A good on the plane read, but airport fiction is exactly the genre From the beginning the reader knows exactly who dunnit, how and why, and you spend the entire book mentally screaming at the far too nice central characters and their heavily layered Christian values wondering why they are so dense they don t see it So, it all turns out exactly as you think it will, but you can t help reading to the end to make sure.

    9. This was an excellent and well written book, and one that kept the reading steadily reading through to find out whether our heroes would make it to the final chapter Character development was also well done, and I so appreciate our heroes bearing the weight of their moral, and Christian convictions, especially in the face of what seemed like insurmountable odds, at times Good job, Rich, and for one s first published novel, it shows so much promise for what is to come, in later books

    10. Natalie Clayton husband dies, then someone breaks into her house, killing her friend by mistake and torches the house All evidence makes it seem her dead husband had orchestrated it all Addison is a single dad with a teenage daughter who takes on the case and feels things for Natalie that he hasn t since he lost his wife Clean read, no swearing or sexual scenes Almost seemed like Christian fiction without a lot of references to religion.

    11. This was an amazingly good first novel for Rich I just heard that it will be coming out in print soon I have both this and the second book in the series, Storm Song, on Kindle Both of them have well developed plots and characters and he uses his knowledge of the Central Coast of California where he was born and raised as a setting for the novels, creating a truly realistic setting I d recommend Rich s books to anyone who likes a blend of mystery, action and romance

    12. Natalie s husband dies, her house catches on fire, and her best friend is murdered and you think you ve had a bad week Police detective Addison stashes Natalie at his house to keep her safe, but his daughter takes the bullet intended for the widow Even though the reader knows who the villains are, author Rich Bullock keeps the tension high.

    13. This was a good read The action was well paced and the characters likeable and believable You know who the killer s are from the beginning but you keep reading to find out how the story resolves itself There were a few things I skipped over, background information that didn t really need to be there that wasn t relevant to the plot But overall a good read.

    14. What if your husband tried to kill you after he was dead Jack Clayton dies suddenly, leaving his wife, Natalie Clayton, with grief, funeral expenses, and a nasty mother in law Now, someone wants Natalie dead and all the evidence points to Jack.

    15. Wait Its over LOL This was such a great read Buckle up and enjoy an amazing ride Love the characters The book is funny, scary and a sleep killer Don t think I will ever have the curtains open at night again Lock Your Doors.

    16. I didn t realize I was reading Christian Mystery or that that was even a thing Good overall story didn t really feel like the Christian bit fit in as there were only a few moments regarding church the Bible story was a bit predictable and rushed.
