    1. Five stars for this one I wish I could give Second book of the Rivenloch Warrior Maids series It s FABULOUS I simply cannot get enough of this author Glynnis Campbell takes you back to medieval times from the food, to the clothing, and the sights she has to be one of my favorite authors now The two main characters in this story is Helena and Colin I loved the witty banter and the interaction between the two Ms Campbell will draw you in and make you laugh within the first couple of pages Colin i [...]

    2. Another wonderful story, fast paced, with lots of excitement on and off the battlefield I love the banter between Helena and Colin, another battle of sorts These Warrior Maid s are a force to be reckoned with I have to say this story picked up where Helena was taken off to a cellar room by Colin, and continues with their story Now I did wonder just how much of the story in book one would be repeated in book two, which can be so annoying I decided to download the sample first before purchase Glyn [...]

    3. It s so easy to devour the books in this series, with strong willed females in a world where men rule, you know that every page is going to be entertaining I enjoyed this book thoroughly, not as much as the first, but still, Helena s story was action packed and exciting The reason this book wasn t as great as the first was because I found Helena s impulsive nature a bit annoying Campbell wrote her character well though, everything she did was on impulse and made for some frustrating, and enterta [...]

    4. I love the way Glynnis Campbell writes Just finished the book and lived it Helena Colin are so perfectly matched for each other She kidnaps him, then they are kidnaped by the English, they escape find love with each other There is so much with battle of wills btwn the 2 The last 6 chapters are so good I pressed on to get then read Another home run by the Arthur

    5. I have been wanting to read this book for awhile novel I have been putting it off because I already have so many books that still need to be to read that I felt guilty spending money on any Finally, I broke down and bought, though, because I have been wanting to read it that badly Despite feeling guilty about spending money on a book, I thoroughly enjoyed it It s been long enough that I don t feel confident in my abilities to compare the first in the series to the second It s not necessary to r [...]

    6. To save her sister from a forced marriage to a Norman knight, a heavily intoxicated Helena of Rivenloch waits in his bedchamber the night before the nuptials, intending to murder the bridegroom When she fails and is locked in the cellar for a night to sober up, rather than come to her senses and give up as the new lord of the manor had hoped, Helena emerges determined than ever to stop the wedding by taking a hostage Colin du Lac, one of the groom s most valuable men and his best friend But the [...]

    7. Book 2 of the Warrior Maids of Rivenloch. This story is Helena and Colin s, Helena is Deirdre s sister and captain of the men at arms , she s a fierce warrior in her own right Helena s story starts of in the cellar where after a night of nursing her hangover she turns the tables on Colin , really he shouldn t have underestimated her just because she s a woman She takes him at knife point, knife point , ladies this is one bad ass warrior woman , to the hut in the forest where she ll try to hold hi [...]

    8. The Warrior Maids of Rivenloch series heroines have a slightly Disneyesque air about them It is hard not to imagine their sword play, kidnappings and cottages in the woods as animated adventures, where at the end of each instalment their perfectly formed lips blow an errant lock of hair off their brows and carelessly sweep their hair braid behind them Admittedly the sex in chain mail scenes are a problem if the series ever does get the Disney film makers interested but I am sure these could be c [...]

    9. Excellent character development, loved them immediately, setting and story opening was impeccable, the only reason I gave it a four was because it was so short I d give it a 4.5 if would let you I guess I didn t realize it was a novella I ve learned a lot from Gylnnis and will continue to read her works She s really got how to create entertaining and likable characters down, and hold you in the game Longer please Lol It s funny because I think I write books that are sometimes too damn long This [...]

    10. Colin HelenaI truly enjoyed this book in The Warrior Maids of Rivenloch series Colin a Norman knight who came to Rivenloch with his best friend by order of the King He was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful Helena, the very stubborn woman he came to love She abducts him to use as leverage to save her youngest sister from marriage Their relationship builds to fever pitch heights while awaiting ransom to arrive at the little hut in the woods in which they hid A entertaining adult read.

    11. Warrior Maids of RivenlochThis is book 2 of the series and it carries on with Helena Colin s story It starts out kind of slow but once it gets started it picks up speed This story picks up where book 1 ended although it overlaps enough that it could be read as a standalone book Helena is the one Warrior Maid that one would ever succumb to a man but Colin seems determined to change that All I all a good read.

    12. The characters in this installment seem too similar to the ones in the first book As with the first, there are glaring historical inaccuracies The plot was okay The biggest positive for this book is that it does pull at your emotions It makes you laugh It makes you angry It makes you glad of its perfect little happy ending.

    13. A riveting, emotional romance that will garner a place of prominence on anyone s keeper shelf Sparkles with wonderful dialogue, witty scenes and just the right touch of humor, adventure and repartee Great read.

    14. Fun readFun reada fun fast read a very engaging read with two headstrong female characters my favorite character is Colin I enjoyed it.

    15. BallocksHelena drove me mad as did Colin Mad with laughter and mad with their intensity both on and off the field of honor Another great read and thanks to Glynnis Campbell.

    16. I really enjoyed how this book actually continues from the first book This is so far a very well written book.

    17. Not quite 4 stars dragged in the beginning of the story, but it definitely picked up the pace than halfway through.
