    1. This was so much better than the first volume I loved the flashbacks we got It gave the characters depth Excited to see where this story goes in the next volume

    2. Bullet Review This was a great second volume with some twists and turns We learn about some of the key characters and I really like the interesting direction of the story Also, the art continues to be incredible.

    3. Not feeling it I loved the premise of this series, that students and staff from Bay Point Preparatory High School in suburban Milwaukee, WI vanish without a trace They end up together and it s kind of teen horror and sci fi meets Lord of the Flies This second volume stops to give us backstories, and dragons, and we see the school before the fateful events It s opening night of the school play, A Midsummer Night s Dream It sounds good, right It has not taken off for me, really Feels flat But if I [...]

    4. This volume includes background on some of the characters Some felt very clich , such as the gay romance When you have a cast of teen characters, this seems like it s almost a given plot line. This book strikes me as sci fi than horror It s a little too all over the place for me Debating whether to go on with this series.

    5. This volume is a tighter focus on the 6 explorers who left the school Each issue focuses on one or two characters with a Lost style flashback to a year ago at the school play Lots of fantastical, dangerous creatures abound as we slowly learn about the Woods and what s going on with Adrian Looking forward to volume 3.

    6. This was where The Woods started to really grab me The first volume was fine, and I was interested in the plot enough to check out the second book from the library, but this second volume made me love the characters and fear for them Particularly Calder s backstory with his no good brother and the Adrian Isaac Ben kinda triangle I ended the book with chills, both times I ve read it This series could have been written as a straight up horror adventure, but Tynion does such a great job showing how [...]

    7. Picking up where their story left off in The Arrow, the six runaways from a Milwaukee high school suddenly transported to an uncharted moon continue their stumble through the Woods, the stretch of danger riddled forest surrounding them.Three of them, Ben, Isaac and Sanami, have been captured by strange, human men and held prisoner.Meaning it s up to Karen, Calder and Adrian whose bond with the Arrow, a harbinger of death and mayhem, has taken hold to save their friends We re going to catch ourse [...]

    8. Eh.Another okay volume Truth be told I liked the first arc better than this one I get what s going on, the first volume throws us into the world and story as well as establishing the random, loose, key pieces This second volume is pretty much geared towards fleshing out all the characters There are lots of flashback scenes to give us some history on why people are the way they are Alongside the flashbacks, the main storyline inches forward and hints at bigger themes ahead. It s just I don t reall [...]

    9. Very cool to read that this book is slowly changing from a basic run to safe your life story which was also awesome to something Very curious were this is going. For the rest love the colouring and artwork in this book.

    10. This is very Morning Glories Esque to me and I Really Really Like It Can t wait to keep reading

    11. Wow Esto va mejorando por momentos La trama se vuelve m s oscura y aparecen sorprendentes relaciones LGBT Me encanta la imaginaci n desbordante de esta historia de ciencia ficci n.

    12. LOVED IT I m enjoying this graphic novel series so much, I love the characters and the friendships and relationships It s very clear in this volume that they have made the effort to make this a very diverse book, we have a mixture of different races, we have LGBTQ characters and an even amount of male and female characters too Things like this are what gives me a higher respect for books so thank you for that James Tynion IV and Michael Dialynas The story of this volume takes the craziness to a [...]

    13. This is such a strange and compelling series One of the things that I like most about this series is the coloring used for the illustrations It is very eye catching and matches the tone that the story lays out Some of the illustrations are so lovely that I want to rip them out and frame them on the walls In this volume, there is a lot character development with back stories of some of the main characters I like the science fictiony direction the series is going I keep wanting to read

    14. This is trying very hard to be a science fiction fantasy Breakfast Club but it just isn t working for me The narrative I found most interesting in volume 1, the Lord of the Flies type story taking place in the displaced high school, was abandoned in vol 2.I just don t find anything interesting about the characters, they feel underdeveloped, which is ironic considering this volume was ALL about fleshing out character s backstories The problem was that they all still felt very shallow and cliche T [...]

    15. Soooo much better than the first volume I think this world has potential to be extremely creepy and definitely makes me interested in checking out the rest of the series It was nice to get know the background of each character and how their personalities affect their present decisions The artwork is marvelous and I can t wait to get my hands on the next volume.

    16. Okay, now I m interested Medieval smashed into sci fi Weird dragons Strange technology I m in The first volume was boring, but this one presents of a world which I find interesting and potentially complex.

    17. Volume Two of The Woods picks up just where we left off in the first volume Space mystery, general teenage angst, the possibility that all will end in death and destruction and death I really liked how this volume expanded on the world we ve been shown Or should I say planet There is of an explanation of the relationships between the characters More backstory More intrigue Well, to an extent For as amazing, expansive, and creative as the world at large is presented here, the characters fail to [...]

    18. their past and get to learn who they are, and the choices they made and why.I gave the second volume four out of five stars on , but if I was honest I might have given it 4.5 stars I will admit that the storyline is much better We do get to see the details of our character s past and get to understand the fear of the woods from both our main characters as well as the travelers We also get a better development of the setting, and the dangers that are out there I still love the color scheme of the [...]

    19. The Woods is great, and I am still loving this series Tynion s dialogue is totally impressive, with each character reading as entirely believable Each issue here was focused on one specific character, flashing a year back to the innocuous high school production of A Midsummer Night s Dream The plot thickens up, as Adrian unlocks his powers , and we start to get a better understanding of what this planet is Dialynas blows the artwork out of the park too, really making this one of my favorite read [...]

    20. Not as good as the first volume, the mystery just isn t that interesting to me They haven t hinted too much at what is going on, just that the inhabitants of the school aren t the only ones it has happened to I like that we are getting flashbacks to each kid to flesh them out but all we get is he she is gay , she hates living at home , he is straight and a bit of a dick There isn t really much there Oh, and they introduce an alien pet for the kids, reminded me too much of the Lost In Space movie [...]

    21. This continues to be such a good down home book about an alternate dimension full of fantasy monsters, viking look alikes, and possible aliens I get such a kick out of the Wisconsin isms, but beyond that this continues to be an excellent survival comic I would highly recommend it to fans of the genre.

    22. This series just keeps getting crazier I like how we get a back story of all the characters and see how it affects their choices now I have the next two books in the series, but I like reading them in the volume sets So, I am conflicted if I should continue or not

    23. Still digesting how I feel about The Woods, but I continue to enjoy it enough to continue reading, which I plan to.At times it s a little trope ish, but at other times it feels wholly unique, and I enjoy the artwork I ll be sticking with it.

    24. Para mi, mucho mejor que su primera parte En su primer volumen indicaba que se profundizaba poco en los personajes, algo que se soluciona en este segundo volumen, intercalando el pasado con el presente actual del c mic La trama casa vez m s interesante.

    25. Good Storytelling James Tynion IV digs a little deeper into the teenagers trapped on an alien world I have been enjoying this series There are a lot of twists and turns You are always surprised about what we learn about each character and what we discover about the mysterious planet.

    26. A little bit is revealed in this volume but this isn t moving fast enough for me We re getting to know the characters a bit but it still seems pretty surface and a bit cliche at points This gets one volume from me and then I m done.
