    1. A ten year old girl, who lives in a bizarre future world, adopts an Electric Puppy that leads her on an adventure. This book is a mixed up cocktail of road trip science fiction weird characters time travel the storyline is multi layered and gives a strong sense of an alternate world The interaction of the characters and technology was well described and logical I particularly liked the concept idea of the robotic puppy with a long working life that allowed it to learn and adapt.Overall rating was [...]

    2. For readers new to Pan Orpheus s books, The Steampunk Electric Puppy is a great introduction It has many of the central elements of his other stories, including time shifting and folding back on itself, the future revealed in the present, Nicola Tesla, Janis Joplin, and a celebration of old mechanisms in particular and steampunk in general In addition to the feature story, the book includes some notes and excerpts from other works. For those already familiar with his work, this short novel serves [...]

    3. Board the time and place machine back to childhoodIf you miss the days of cereal and Saturday morning cartoon fests, you re in for a treat This steampunk piece is packed with entertaining features, giving it the air of a children s special, with a twist There are songs with word, title and famous rockers names slightly off to give that parallel universe feel, and occasional F words flying out of kid s mouths This short story prequels PanOrpheus Phoebe series about an electrical plasma universe w [...]

    4. An interesting though sometimes confusing time travel adventureOur story follows Cady Miller, a 10 year old girl living five centuries in the future She s a young scientist and experimenter who becomes enad with the technologies of the 21st and 22nd century, which have been banned She comes into possession of a centuries old steampunk electric puppy, which is actually a fully sentient robot utilizing said technology and together they go on a quest through time and space I quite liked the beginni [...]

    5. I m completely new to this steampunk genre of science fiction, so wasn t sure what to expect, nor do I know how it compares with others in the genre I read this book first, followed immediately by the much larger similar themed Songs and Stories from Electric Mars This Steampunk Electric Puppy book serves as a good introduction to Cady Miller, 10 years old, a bit of a steampunk genius and with some mysterious future hinted at throughout.

    6. It was not my thing It seemed like it was written for kids, but it wasn t It kept referencing words to look up, but they were words like promiscuous Also, the plot was very thin This book seem like a ploy to get you to read the series but I wasn t into it enough to want to read the series.

    7. Kindle Unlimited but got it on a freebie day, interesting and different, and yes there is some language which didn t bother me just wondering why it was even there, mostly just distracted from the story line, which already had parts that were too detailed with other parts that snap build up to then over just like that NO, everyone does not have a sly smile , whatever that is even supposed to mean and no, one does not drone on in quotation marks then stop with no quotation marks but adding though [...]

    8. I think this was a delightful story that minus some language would be a great kid s story Cady Miller lives in the future and is a brilliant little girl with creative concepts far beyond that of a ten year old child She temporarily adopts a robot puppy called the Steampunk Electric Puppy It turns on and off with a press to a coil on it s head, but when on, it is a very advanced robot that gives her ideas to enhance her creative juices It takes her on an amazing adventure into past worlds and tea [...]
